I'd say yes, definitely. Look at how crap China was 60 years ago and look at them now, building massive skyscrapers in like 2 years or something. There might be a lot of poverty over there right now but their work force is insanely good and don't forget that America would be nothing without them. Imagine China had some other source of money and just stopped producing things for America, place would be screwed. A lot of the world would be really. Go through your house and count how many things have "made in China" on them and subtract them from your house, if you have more than half a house left you probably built it yourself I think if they could trim their population down to reasonable levels they'd rocket past everyone, that's a major thing holding their economy back. |

Well duh. America is culturally diverse because it's full of different countries. Also... "We've taken the best from every culture in the world so we can't be touched." That's nothing to be proud of. And also: Asia is this. China is this. You shouldn't confuse a continent with a country. This kind of generalization gets really annoying after a while. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

I... What? Iranians are not Russians are not Vietnamese are not are not Malaysians are not Indians are not Chinese. Asia is the biggest continent for a reason. And how has America "absorbed the best from everything?" Familial loyalty I can tell ain't big here compared to allot of the world and we should have more of that. We're also extremely right leaving and slow to accept new rights for people most of the time, see slavery for example. We're not even the most free country in the world, plenty of countries beat the US on that front as well. On topic, what exactly does that mean? And also I wonder what you think considering you're in Hong Kong and all. If you mean economic power house I suppose, but from what I've seen China is generally more hands off in foreign affairs. Well, even though America hasn't colonized other countries making them apart of the United States, alot of middle east, asians, europeans want to come to America. America has military might, idealism to start a new life, laws that protect them, financial system that allows them to make money, and the freedom to speak your mind. My question asked in a 100 years of maybe even less then 100 years, will China be the center of the world like America was? Like it not, America in the 90's was the only super power, USSR was competing with them in the military department in the 40's-90's, America stands alone in the world as the only super power left, that's what I mean by empire. Like in the early 1900's it was the Queen and the British empire. My own native Hong Kong still likes to be part of the British instead of China. |

Oh so that's what you meant. In the next five years I doubt it, but China seems to be slowly heading in that direction. I imagine eventually their human rights would probably get to where people actually prefer it to America in a century. Especially if the economy grows as well. |

In a way they're already not communist right? So much free market going on, though the Government still has great control. I think as people get better education and more free time and money they'll want it more. Eventually if everything continues in the same path, the Government will eventually have no choice in the matter but to at least compromise on this. |
